Tutorials
Tutorials give students 40 minutes to get additional help in a class which they are stuggling in, attend a study review held by a teacher or allows them time to work on homework. Students choose the tutorial session they will attend and are required to sign in with their teacher using the positive attendance feature. That means, if they do not sign in, they will be issued a truancy. When a students signs in, their advisor knows which tutorial they attended. Students receive points for attending their tutorial sessions. If they do not attend tutorial, they do not receive the points. thus earning a failing grade in advisory.
Occasionally a teacher will invite your student to attend their tutorial so they can work with them. If they have been given such an invitiation, the student should plan on attending that teacher's tutorial or let the teacher know they cannot attend and make arrangements to get help from that teacher another time.
